Cavern Stairs

Staircase in the lower room at Lewis and Clark Caverns near Three Forks, Montana. This is a limestone cavern filled with stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and helictites.

The tour for this cavern runs about two hours and covers approximately two miles. The first several rooms in the tour are home to bat colonies and no flash photography is allowed. The lighting in the rest of the cave includes Incandescent, LED and what looked like Fluorescent, sometimes mixed together in the same room. I had to recalibrate my white balance in almost every room I went through.

Handheld, no flash
